Children's Play Aids Tsunami Recovery
The Child Book Project (http://childrenlit.sfc.keio.ac.jp/ ) developed from the volunteer work of students from Keio University SFC in the aftermath of the March 11. 2011 tsunami in Japan. In April 2011, a project group was formed in order to develop original material to work with children from the disaster area. In developing their project the members created connections with a wider community in city of Iwaki and with the n.p.o community in Japan ( www.fathering.jp ) Now one year after the disaster the connections created by the project continues to grow and provides aspects to recovery that go beyond rebuilding structures to renewing the bonds of community.
