    The Gladiator Fire

    Burning in Yavapai County some 50 miles north of Phoenix, the Gladiator Fire continues to threaten the small community of Crown King in the Bradshaw Mountains. At last check the fire had charred at least 600 acres and continues to grow due to excessive heat and persistent winds. These images were taken from a popular rest stop along I-17 known as Sunset Point on Sunday May 13, 2012.
