Long time ago, it was decided that no person could sit as president for longer than two full terms or 8 years. Why is it that we still operate with no term Limits for Congressmen and Senators and why do Justices on the Supreme Court have no limits? We the people have long suffered from long term congressmen who have long since been self absorbed by the lobbyists who buy their vote year in and year out and consistently fail to come up with fresh ideas. What I propose is a clean flush of all members of the Legislative and Judicial branches who were in their seat prior to January 2011 and have immediate elections to replace them.. House members should serve no more than 8 years or 4 terms and Senate members should serve no more than 8 years or two terms once their term is reduced to 4 years instead of the current 6.. Also justices should also be limited to 8 years so that they cannot hang around their entire life potentially leading them to be able to hinder a change to a law or ruling they fought for in the past.
