Winterfield Elementary and Charlotte Symphony: Making Music, Building Community:
Since 2007, musicians from The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra have taught 2nd through 5th graders at Winterfield Elementary School how to play violin, cello, and percussion instruments. Christopher Warren-Green, Music Director of the Charlotte Symphony, and his wife Rosemary, one of the most respected violists in the world, lead the free program which they hope to expand to other schools.
