    Gladiator Fire Sunset

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     WrldTrvld shot this photo the evening of May 14 of the hazy-red sunset in Scottsdale, Arizona, caused by a nearby wildfire. 'Arizona has been experiencing unusually dry winters the past few years,' he said. 'Residents are concerned because both the Gladiator and Sunflower fires are just the prequel to what we should be expecting this fire season. Arizona currently has 5 fires burning; as temperatures continue to rise, and with humidity in the single digits, we've turned into quite a tinderbox!'

    Smoke drifting from the Gladiator Fire 85mi N. of Phoenix in Crown King made for an amazing sunset Monday night in The Valley of the Sun.
