Anybody Knows Why Some Trendy Restaurants in Newark Ironbound Area Do Not Follow This Rules?

    Overtime Pay

An employer who requires or permits an employee to work overtime is generally required to pay the employee premium pay for such overtime work. Employees covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) must receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek of at least one and one-half times their regular rates of pay. The FLSA does not require overtime pay for work on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, or regular days of rest, unless overtime hours are worked on such days.

The FLSA, with some exceptions, requires bonus payments to be included as part of an employee's regular rate of pay in computing overtime.

Extra pay for working weekends or nights is a matter of agreement between the employer and the employee (or the employee's representative). The FLSA does not require extra pay for weekend or night work or double time pay. UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR

QUESTION: Anybody Knows Why Trendy Restaurants in Newark Ironbound Area Do Not Follow This Rules?

I see my father getting sick because of this kind of "erratic behavior" and it seems that nobody get it. Even Doctors seem to ignore- I guess we are all facing the reality of the crisis, less me...I see injustice, grandious behavior from private small business(micro-family-business...like they like to be proudly called). Unfairness?! The New Slaves that I wrote once, are people with Green Cards, American Citizens-A Chef is a Chef, A Cook is a Cook, Waiter are Waiters...and should be treated with dignity- that is not definitely a fancy fundraisind party with a bunch Coc.......- that explore the slaves sweet sweat like vampires, and and a boot for great services in the form of magazines and newspapers excelent reviews insisting, however in not following the norms...making jokes about money around the world with public carreer junkies and even faith professionals - are the Help for this Fake Microships!
