    Living without Facebook?

    Mo' Facebook, Mo' Problems

Several months ago, I decided to delete my facebook account. I felt that it brought more bad than good to my life. I have a bunch of people on my account from High School, who let's be honest, I never really liked in high school. So if they annoyed me in high school, why do I want a daily reminder of what they ate for breakfast! It just perpetuates the drama that you had in your life when you were 16 years old! Sometimes there is a reason that you don't talk to people anymore! It would literally put me in a bad mood and affect parts of my day! I decided that was a dumb way to live.

When people find out I'm not on facebook, they act like I told them I have 2 heads. They can't understand why I would not want to be involved in such a thing! They also become disappointed because it is such an easy way to keep in touch. Unfortunately, for me, I decided that the drama that comes along with facebook is not worth it. There is always email to keep in touch!

I honestly feel that my social life is better for not being on facebook. I no longer have built up resentment for the annoying things that family members or close friends post! I feel that it makes me put in the extra effort to keep in touch with the people that I really want in my life. I don't need the petty gossip or drama that goes hand in hand with facebook!
