Disco Queen Was The Soundtrack Of The 70's

Here in Hollywood were are mourning the death of a entertainment legend.

She was 'On The Radio', and Donna was 'Hot Stuff'. Ms Summers also worked 'Hard For Her Money'. She could also be a 'Bad Girl', and she was known to hang out at 'MacArthur Park'.

Today, The Disco Queen, who defined a music style and the lifestyle of a generation, has danced her 'Last Dance'.

She passed away this morning of cancer at her home in Florida of cancer according to her family.

Me and my friends started nightclubbing in the late 70's. She was the voice of the disco floor and we loved to dance to her songs.

In the early 80's, Donna joined the New Wave scene. One of my favorite clubbing songs and videos of the 80's was 'She Works Hard For The Money', a working class tribute.

As fans of American Idol, we loved her comeback on the show in 2004.

She told some people that her cancer may have been a result of the attacks of 9/11. She lived in Manhatten at the time, and the Disco Diva beleived that she may have inhaled some of the particles.

She was 63 years old. RIP Donna, and welcome to Rock and Roll Heaven. The Mealey family will miss you!
