Republicans Claim They're Not Responsible for Our Economy...Believe Them..They're Not
Seen any job bills come through the U.S. House of Representatives lately? Any infrastructure bills? Any relief for homeowners under water? What about a reasonable budget proposal that doesn't gut social programs while rewarding the rich with more tax cuts they don't need? Anyone? Anything?
Americans see what the Republican plan is..at least those that watch news sources other than FOX.
Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, said his main job..his most important job, was to make Obama a one- term President. Maybe Republican voters are satisfied with McConnell's self- proclaimed job description, but working class Americans are not. They want something done. Obama's tried. Congress is broken. Executive orders? Not enough. Obama needs Congress to help Americans. So whose holding the keys to economic recovery? Obama or a Tea Party controlled U.S.House?
Republicans have a co-ordinated effort to bring President Obama down. Efforts from the GOP include attacks on women's reproductive rights, voter suppression ID laws, attacking unions, legislative stalemate, Citizens United, Obamacare attacks, and refusing to allow job legislation to pass Congress.
Then they blame Obama for slow economic recovery and job growth. Pretty transparent. Pretty pathetic..politics over the needs of the working class. But since when did Republicans care about the middle class?
The GOP are sore losers. 2008 didn't go as expected. Why would Republicans have expected McCain to win? After Bush? It was too soon after his disaster of a Presidency and too fresh in most American's minds. But Republicans are great at revising history. After some time passes, they trickle back to trickle down.
Have you seen what austerity has brought for Europe? The evidence is clear.
Supply side economics is GOP justification for the wealthy's sense of entitlement and greed. Are they job creators? Hardly. Do the wealthy consume more because they're richer? Rich people aren't the main job creators in America. The middle class, spending money creates demand and consequently, more jobs.
Right now, because of Republican ideology, the middle class have no jobs and no money to create the demand in our economy. Yet the GOP blame Obama. Is this ignorance? Arrogance? Or is it their sense of themselves as the "entitled aristocracy"? They are selling many Americans on their privilege with Frank Luntz and Karl Rove's clever wordsmithing.
Their policies of "trickle on the middle class" were what caused the deficit, the unfunded war in Iraq, huge tax breaks for the wealthy, and now they blame Obama because he hasn't managed to fix the mess they created with their failed economic policies.
Outrageous? Absolutely..but what can you expect from the juveniles on that side of the aisle. Waaaa....waaaa.
"We didn't do it! It was Obama's policies. He's to blame!. We weren't responsible." No. The GOP isn't responsible. They've got that right.
When Republicans claim they aren't responsible for the mess they created, believe them. It's true. They aren't responsible...for anything.
Failure to accept responsibility and blaming others for what you did, makes you "not responsible".
"Being responsible" is what the Democratic Party is known for being. Yes, Democrats are the ones that get sick of the mess first and end up picking up after their irresponsible roommates, the Republicans.
Ever lived with someone that threw their clothes on the floor, failed to wash their dishes, and never made their bed. The person that gets sick of the mess first, is the one that picks it up. Republicans are better at one thing, folks. Waiting out the Democrats, so the Democrats will clean the house up.
^That's fine. Someone needs to clean it up. But what takes the cake is when Republicans claim that the mess was the fault of the Democrats in the first place.
This is truly "the Audacity of audacity".
GOP, don't blame someone else, like Obama, for what you did. Man up..or people up..accept the blame for what you did to our economy, beg the informed Americans for forgiveness, and promise to start picking up after yourselves. The educated people are tired of our sloppy, irresponsible roommates.
