Afghanistan: Afghan and Coalition soldiers capture six insurgents in the Bala Boluk district.
HERAT, Afghanistan, 18 May 2012 - Insurgents attacked a group ANSF (Afghan National Security Forces) with automatic weapons and RPG’s (rocket propelled grenade) in Bala Boluk district, in Farah province today. The Afghan soldiers reacted immediately to the threat and requested help from ISAF Task Force South to combat the situation.
A QRF (Quick Reaction Force) responded immediately in support of the ANSF.
Together, the Afghan and coalition soldiers engaged the insurgents who began to flee the area. The AUP (Afghan Uniform Police) pursued and captured six insurgents.
