Vote for LT Edwards: 2012 Military Fatherhood Finalist

I nominated my husband for the 2012 Military Fatherhood Award through National Fatherhood Initiative. He is one of three finalists in the nation. Each finalist has created a 2- minute video and Facebook users can vote once/day for their favorite through May 25th at the National Fatherhood Initiative Facebook page. He's already Father of the Year to us, but if he wins, it'll be icing on the cake!
One of the reasons I nominated him was his amazing ability to communicate to us while in Iraq through detailed videos he made. One, he named "A Day With Daddy," showing life in theater from brushing his teeth in the morning, to take a night trip in a Chinook to another FOB. Another reason for his nomination is his tender dedication to our children: each kid has a special day with their dad in which he'll take them to McDonalds, for ice cream, or out for pizza. Not only does he love our kids, but while deployed, he helped other dads create memorable videos for their children whether it was a humorous video, something full of special effects, or a Christmas video with lots of music in it. Lastly, my husband loves to bring the potential out in each of our kids by mentoring them in music and organizing our family band, "Eddies' Experiment." We have a show he orchestrated including music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond that he absolutely is thrilled to showcase the kids in.
