Benefit for the Birdcage: Prescott
Hundreds gathered on Whiskey Row in down town Prescott Sunday afternoon to support a benefit set up to help raise funds for the towns three historical businesses that were seriously damaged in the May 5th fire.
The Birdcage which was nearly destroyed by the blazesis one of Whiskey Row's longest standing bars on the strip, established in 1967. The bar is known for its great live music and lively atmosphere.
I took these photos a week before the fire destroyed the three Prescott landmarks, Pearls Place, The Birdcage and The Prescott Food Store. Business owners are hoping to raise enough funds to rebuild and once again open their doors to the public.
