    Joplin Home Depot Rebuilds After Tornado

    The EF-5 tornado that struck Joplin on May 22, 2011 leveled the Home Depot. The parking lot was turned into an emergency triage for the injured. Over the months that followed, the site was cleaned up and a temporary store opened in a tent until the final building was reopened for business.
