    Bald Eagles are magnificent flyers, they can soar high up in the sky, doing what is called a “thermal” where they don’t have to use energy, they circle and take advantage of the hot air currents.
    They feed mostly on fish, carrion and other prey. After breeding, many of them mainly from Western North America arrive in British Columbia to feast on spawning salmon, at times more than 4000 birds gather on the Cheakamus River in midwinter
