    Memorial Day

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GFLIP says created this image by using a technique he calls time-light picture studies, which uses a timed exposure for the camera. 'The best way I can describe it is when you see the shots of tail lights and head lights in photos,' he says. In order to capture this image he set the camera up on a tripod and kept the shutter open for a prolonged exposure as he traced the cannon with sparklers in hand. 'I was running around the cannon with sparklers, it was a twenty minute exposure,' he says. He says he created this image as a way to honor Memorial Day.
