Crochet Bicycle - Unusual Street Art (New York City)
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
I came upon this crochet bicycle with attached baby seat while walking down Delancey Street in New York City in April of 2011.
In such a busy, crowded city as New York, where people are often in a rush and preoccupied with one hundred different things, it's a nice surprise to come upon something as whimsical and unexpected as this playful work of street art.
Because it was so unusual, I stopped, took the attached photo and walked away with an unexpected smile.
* After doing a little research, I found that this crochet bicycle was part of an art installation by Agata Oleksiak. She is an artist from Poland that goes by the name "Olek."
