    Blue trees -Seattle

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     mainstreet57 says "The Blue Trees" are a part of a public art installation in Seattle, Washington, in the downtown area. She says the vibrant blue coloring of the trees caught her attention immediately. 'I first wondered who would paint the trees blue, and I was wondering it the paint would harm the trees,' she says. She learned that "The Blue Trees" are a part of an art installation by Australian artist, Konstantin Dimopoulos, and the purpose of the piece is to bring awareness to global deforestation. The trees are covered with a natural water-base pigment, according to the artist's website.
