    Severe rain and thunder storms hit Belvidere, Vermont

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     thepizzaman of Belvidere, Vermont, walked along the Lamoille River yesterday afternoon after hours of rain caused flash flooding in the area. The river washed out the back road in town, which is the road on which he lives. 'One of the streams wiped out the road. People can’t get out of their houses and other people can’t get back home if they were out because the storm washed out the road,' he said. Also, his home lost electricity for four hours last night.

    This is a video I took from the Mill covered bridge in Belvidere, Vermont. I took this video about 4:00 pm. yesterday. Belvidere experienced severe lightening and thunder storms. Numerous roads got washed out due to flash flooding. there were also power outages.
