    Unilag students protest

The students of University of Lagos, Nigeria have embarked on a peaceful protest following the sudden and uninformed announced made by the president Goodluck Jonathan as regards a change of name for the institution in honour of the country's patriot MKO Abiola. The school is now to be named after this patriot as now Moshood Abiola University. The students ofcourse see this as an aberration of their rights and that of the senate council of the school, and also illegal as section 1 of the act establishing the university provides for name as 'university of Lagos' any change ought to be done through the due process of law Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone provided by Airtel Nigeria.
