    Memorial Day Arsonists in Illinois

    Arsonists set fire to the second floor apartment in a building with four levels, during the Memorial Day weekend.  On Sunday, eight of the residents suffered from smoke inhalation and minor injuries, along with six firemen and a policeman who were taken to hospitals in the area.  More than 150 firemen and 20 vehicles responded to the fire alarm at 11 a.m.  When the firemen arrived, they found building tenants hanging out from the windows, while the neighbors were already helping to rescue people from the building.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.  The only fatality was the death of a dog, according to the neighbors.  The resident tenants were left homeless.
