"They" say the bluest skies are in Seattle and when the sun is out there is no truer statement. There is more to this Jewel of the Pacific Northwest than blue skies or rain. I lived on Bainbridge Island, WA, "backyard for the Emerald City for many years. The ferry system never got boring and every time I rode the ferry I was dazzled by the beauty of the Puget Sound. The city is full of surprises and great shopping. Within a couple hours drive from the city you can be in the Cascade mountains and take a short ferry ride and you are on the Olympic Peninsula which offers mountains, rain forests, outstanding beaches with breathtaking views of the Pacific. Every season has beauty to offer. From tulips fields in Mt. Vernon, to lavendar fields in Sequim to breath taking sunsets over the Olympic Mountains, Seattle has so much more to offer than Portland and YES I am biased!
I moved to North Carolina 2 years ago but I left my heart in Seattle and visit my photographs almost everyday, knowing one day I will move back
