    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Kalalau123 shot this photograph of a mother goose tending to a group of goslings in Bow River. "Rarely does one see so many babies with a mother goose, but she was baby sitting for other mothers off to feed" he says."I love these wild creatures and they are beautiful to see in flight in October skies and we welcome them in spring as harbingers of the summer to come." This adorable shot was chosen as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for July 16, 2012!

    This mother Canada goose had 19 goslings with her the other day by the river.
    She was baby-sitting for another couple I'm sure. Only rarely have I seen a goose with more than 8 or 9 babies.
    I have counted 27 goslings at one time with one mother goose, they often send the kids off with a friend while they go to feed. They can be vvery agressive if you get too close and will bite and attack. I have seen them chase off coyotes that came too close to the flock.
