    "MASTERCHEF” MYSTERY BOX CHALLENGE

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ChrisMorrow says she never imagined she would be asked to cook for the "Masterchef," which is a culinary show on the network FOX. She was at a press "Masterchef" demonstration that was not aired. 'The judges and I must have practiced for days trying to imagine what would be in the mystery box. Scallops was not was imagined,' she says. ChrisMorrow went with the French technique of scrambling eggs in order to tackle the mystery ingredient. 'The judges loved it and selected me as one of the top 3. This is one of those moments in my life I will never forget,' she says.

    I was nervous cooking for the MASTERCHEF Judges.

     

    Renowned chefs Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot return to MASTERCHEF for a third season this summer on FOX! Throughout the season, amateur cooks will compete in Mystery Box Challenges. During these challenges, each hopeful will receive a box of ingredients to create one unique dish to impress the judges – now it was my turn to show off my culinary chops!

     

    I received one box of mystery ingredients and had 30 minutes to prepare a memorable dish for Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot. The judges were there to observe the challenge, coaching me with tips or giving the 'look' and then judged my dish!

     

    My nervous and excited hands lifted the mystery box and there were scallops, eggs, milk, green onions, pasta, fruit, etc. I chose to wow the judges demonstrating a cooking technique and made a french style scrambled eggs. The judges were surprised I didn't go with the scallops and chose me as top 3 in the competition.

     

    Award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay, restaurateur Joe Bastianich and acclaimed chef Graham Elliot return for Season Three of the culinary smash hit MASTERCHEF with a two-night season premiere event on Monday, June 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Tuesday, June 5 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
