    Two Cars submerged in DC

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     kazuriSana told me, 'Many homes have no power, my girlfriend could not get home in time as a tree also fell on orange line and blocked her train ride home. Also hearing of trees falling on cars, and houses.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Friday June 1, 2012 brought a storm to the DC Metro Region. These two cars were either swept or attempted to cross a low-lying bridge along Eastern Avenue under the orange line just after Deanwood metro train station. One overturned into its side and the other one was almost completely submerged in the murky rain water..

By the time I arrived there, medical, fire and emergency vehicles were all over, indicating that occupants were trapped and had been rescued. I did not get any information about any casulaties.
