    Salute to troops

    1/8 Battalion Camp LeJeune NC

My son, Lance Corporal Von Roretz, is presently serving with the Marine Corp in Afghanistan. He is a rifleman with the 1/8 battalion out of Camp LeJeune, NC. I would like to send all our good thoughts and prayers to the members of Charlie Company. During combat operations on Saturday 2 members of C Company were killed and yet the company continues on to protect our freedom and ensure this fight never reaches our shores. These great men of the US Marine Corp deserve our thoughts and prayers. Most of the families are still awaiting some form of contact from our Marines to check on their health.Marines do NOT call home for injuries and we are only contacted if the injury is life threatening. Marines prefer to stay in the fight. Please remember that the fight continues and some are still giving their life for our freedom. Semper Fi
