Gouache on paper, a torch

About two weeks ago the son got a torch as a present and 3 days ago, me, his mum, expalained him how to make SOS signal with a torch if he is lost in a dark forest, he played this game half a day and then left it.  On Sunday, I offered him to paint something specially for Dad, because of Father's day.  He started without a doubt. He is quite experienced artist, so I left him in his room with paper and gouache. In 5 minutes he came to the kitchen, where we had morning coffee, with his switched on torch focusing on a wide black paint touch on a paper. When asked what does it mean he said, "I'm lightening the hole". Dad is still delighted by this present.
