    The Diamond Jubilee Vibe

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Though in the middle of studying for her final university exams, Ahbarijiet says she just couldn't see to miss a once in a lifetime event. Just a short train ride away from London, she decided to brave the crowds on her own to partake in the exciting Jubilee celebrations."It would have been a real shame if I decided to miss such an experience. As soon as I got out of the underground, I couldn't help but smile," she says. "It was such a happy atmosphere. The Union Jack being everywhere just adds up to the excitement for some reason. Wherever the Queen goes, she brings a joyful feeling and a lot of excitement. I've always admired her."

I'm cold, I'm wet, my feet are drenched, I am now sneezing continuously, but I would not have missed London on the day of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant for the world!

I am not quite sure if I did get to see the boat on which the Queen was on, in fact I don't think I did at all (I have no idea what I saw), but the festive vibe was well worth it. :) The atmosphere simply made me smile.

The proud Union Jack was not just on flags, it was everywhere: on head bands, umbrellas, t-shirts, leggings, hats, even painted carefully onto nails.

I stayed at Charing Cross and watched some boats on Thames River going under the Hungerford Bridge.
Unfortunately, a lot of the pictures which I took turned out shaky. Also my camera lens got very wet. Clearly, I was not well prepared.

Happy Anniversary Queen Elizabeth II !!!!!
