British soldiers rescued an Afghan police
Monday 3 rd June; insurgents kidnapped the deputy of police checkpoint in Payan village, Nar-e-Seraj district of Helmand province on Sunday 3th June at night. The deputy of police checkpoint named Abdul Wali was kidnapped by the armed insurgents and after the kidnapping the British forces in the frame of the ISAF forces got information and noticed the area of the insurgents. As a result eventually the British forces lay siege the area and conducted the operation for the safe release of the deputy of police checkpoint, consequently the British forces released the deputy of police checkpoint safely from the grasp of insurgents and one British soldier was killed and one other injured as a result. The insurgents escaped from the area but ISAF forces captured one mobile phone, some of the insurgent’s documents and explosives in the area. Helmand governor praises the sacrifices and bravery of the British forces that they rescued an Afghan police officer and sacrificed own selves.
