    Serious Storms / Tulsa, OK

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     HOLadd1 of Oklahoma reports on a storm that ripped through Tulsa early Monday morning. High winds knocked down trees and fences, he says, adding, "The winds came up very sudden. One minute it's a typical storm, the next it sounded as if the roof was about to fly off." Although severe weather patterns aren't atypical during the spring and summer season, Tulsa residents were still rattled by the storm. "The biggest concern in the aftermath was the power outage. Mine was about 14-and-a-half hours."
    - stein0726, CNN iReport producer

An intense line of storms blew through Tulsa last night and early this morning, leaving about 10,000 without power for most of Monday (mine was out 14 1/2 hrs).

No fatalities were reported, although I measured straight-line winds at one point clocking 91 mph. These storms blew in fast then parked over Tulsa and most of Eastern Oklahoma -- rainfall amounts in the Tulsa metro area ranged from 1.5 up to nearly 7 inches.
