This whole over-hyped up royal nonesense...thrust by the media down the British peoples and the World's throats, morning noon and night.....is reminiscent of the old Hans Christian Anderson's  yarn written in 1837:

                                      " The emperor's new clothes "

   For those unfamiliar with the fairy tale.....about a naked emperor parading with no clothes much to the cheers and admiration of the blindfolded crowds and only interupted by the cries of truth from a small boy who told it like it was !

   I am not a joy killer or a spoilsport folks, just an insignificant, senior British born journalist-critic who cannot understand  " WHY  " ?  all the hype and hoopla by millions of sheeplike people over an old, un-elected  old woman of german descent and her ailing greek spouse,etc. Not to mention a bunch of be-uniformed smiling clown princes and hanger-on egocentric, social climbing, fashion crazy, must be seen, elitist wanabe extroverts !...smiling and waving as if they had been immortally  placed on Earth to save the Planet !

   These people have absolutely zero in common with the average British person, especially the working classes who keep the uk's ship afloat while the royals dwell in palaces, castles and pampered luxury,etc !

   I sympathize with the millions of British unemployed whose jobs have been grabbed up by foreign hordes permitted to flood into the small island country by apathetic governments and free load off the British taxpayers ! The queen, like all British heads of state, signs each and every parliamentary bill into law and posseses the actual and ultimate power to intervene if and when government makes horrendous mistakes and decisions that affect her subjects adversely.....she has repeatedly chosen NOT too !

   The British monarchy descends from barbarians...this is NOT this reporter's personal opinion or grudge but undeniable historical facts !

   As the queen enjoys her jubilee celebrations, horse racing, luxury limos and armed protection,etc,etc,etc...millions of Brits are losing their incomes, pensions and even their homes while the royals and bureacrats continue to lead extravagantly wasteful lives at the expense of the struggling commoners of which I am one !

   Kings, queens, princes and knaves...how absurd in this day and age, when the UK like many other countries is facing economic catastrophy, the whole monarchistic bunch belong in grimms fairy tales or a fantasy land visit...NOT flouting and gloating their overpaid, underworked idle lives in front of the World !

   I hope the British people, many who were NOT even born there or have any connection with these silly twits in their military garb adorned with ridiculous un-earned medals and hyped up, undeserved glory...while British soldiers die and are maimed daily in far away deserts and useless, unwinnable wars......hold a referendum and abolish these royal parasites once and for all, so that the UK can be run by people elected by  the peoples CHOICE and NOT by mere historical inheritance !
