CNN PRODUCER NOTE     mutiny1967 of Panama City, Florida, captured the scene of this waterspout forming off the coast of Louisiana yesterday afternoon. 'I was just astonished,' he says, adding, 'I've been out here 22 years and it's still neat to see stuff out here.' As an oilfield boat captain who spends weeks at a time working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, he says waterspouts aren't an uncommon occurance during the summer months. 'We keep an eye out on the weather this time of year. Just about every other day in the heated afternoon you see them.'
    - stein0726, CNN iReport producer

We were offloading equipment at a offshore production platform in the gulf of Mexico when we spotted this waterspout forming about 2 miles away from us. Capt. Todd Single U.S.M.M.
