Lighting of Peace on Vesak Day In Thailand

Vesak" because this is a day that is important on the Buddhist
calendar. Vesak Day can also be referred as the Lord Buddha Day, is a
day to signify the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Lord
Thailand, a country where Buddhism is a prominent location, holds
Vesak ceremonies throughout the country. At Wat Phra Dhammakaya in
Pathum Thani Province, Thailand, led by Most Venerable
Phrathepyanmahamuni, many people from all over Thailand and also from
different countries all around the world gathered together to
meditate, light sacred Vesak candles, and to circumambulate around the
main chapel of Wat Phra Dhammakaya to pay homage to the Lord Buddha.

Buddha's teachings, because the Lord Buddha's teachings is a message

What made me capture this video is the fact that it is impressive to
see so many people coming to Wat Phra Dhammakaya to be a part of the
Vesak Day ceremony to pay respect to the Lord Buddha.
The Lord Buddha emphasized on meditation. This evening's ceremony
started off with meditation so that people can create brightness
internally by simply stilling the mind. Then, there was the lighting
of the Vesak candles to create brightness externally. Together, the
brightness that was created internally and externally is a start in
creating brightness all around the world. This brightness will then
lead creating peace, and then eventually change the world-- something
that many of us has been waiting for.
