Hello my name is Byron Thomas, and America my generation does care about how America's past paved the way for our future. People say we are out of control, disrespectful, unappreciated, and a lot of other negative terms. Every generation has those type of people, but for the most part my generation does care about what's been handed down to us. I was in Wal-Mart and I spotted this Korean War Veteran and I just had to talk to him, because I've never seen one in person. I asked him some questions and how was the weather like in he said "Cold". I had to give him a hug for serving our country. He told me Thank-You, but I said, "No, sir Thank-You". I honor & respect the service of our past veterans, because through their sacrifice, our American future is still standing strong (I should have brought his groceries). Tons of people my age are very appreciative, because without those who have died or served our country; we wouldn't have the freedoms we have now. My generation argues a lot that the drinking age should be 18, because of our young active duty men and women, who are serving our country now (even though the government had tried it before, and it didn't work). We will also lower the divorce rate, because close to probably 30-40 percent of us have divorced parents, and that's embarrassing. So we will make sure our kids don't go through the same mess as we went through. My generation will make changes to this country, that I hope will benefit America in the long run. We will not give up on safe guarding Americas future, just like the past did for us. I know what I'm going to do for America; but for our country to get back on track, its time for the reins to begin to get handed down to us. My generation will have to top the Greatest Generation Ever, because that's the only way we'll get this country together and back on track. I'm just asking the last generations, Give Us A Chance and Don't Count America Out Yet! Our future will shine brighter then ever. America is in "Good Hands". Kill People With Kindness.
