Transit of Venus over Singapore
This picture was taken by Egmond Boon & Year 5 students with an iPhone at 12:15pm. Location: Chatsworth International School Orchard Campus Singapore.
We investigated the frequency of Venus transits and identified a pattern that repeats every 243 years, with pairs of transits eight years apart separated by long gaps of 121.5 years and 105.5 years.
A fantastic opportunity to engage the students and acquire knowledge about this amazing astronomical phenomenon.
