Shuttle Enterprise on the Hudson against Fire Boat
Shuttle Enterprise (rear view) and Fire Boat (close-up)
Photographing the shuttle Enterprise being barged up the Hudson, from Bayonne to its final stop, at the Intrepid Museum, NYC.
With George Washington Bridge as background and help from crane, Enterprise's final destination is in sight.
Every step of the way, fire boats sailed along or/and waited for the shuttle, showering it in water. The barge carrying the shuttle waited for the crane to arrive. Then, once connected to the crane, it moved and rotated, offering a 360-persepective of the shuttle. Quite a treat.
Here is a close-up image of the rear view of Enterprise welcome by fire boat. (fire boats look like a butterfly to me, beautiful!)
