Five weeks before the London Olympic games, Sweden starts celebrating centenary of its 1912 Stockholm's Olympic with various events here in the capital this week. Today the day is being celebrated with sport activities, music, workshops, and the like downtown at Sergel's square. The fifth Olympic Games were held in Stockholm in 1912. This anniversary will be celebrated with different events thoughout the year- mostly in the form of sporting events. Some highlights include Anniversary Regatta (June 2nd and July 20th - Aug 5th)), the Special Olympics (June 5th), Olympic Stadium Festival (June 9th), Stockholm Summer Games (July 5th-8th), and Jubilee Marathon (July 14th). But there are plenty of other events all year long. Today, Stockholm Stadion is the oldest Olympic arena still in use.
