    Music for religious welcome!


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ichalhoub says people in Lebanon celebrate Saint Charbel by visiting the village he supposedly was born and lived in for a major part of his life. He says during this pilgrimage people pay homage to the saint, while also showing their emotional reverence.

    Bekaakafra - north Lebanon. The eighth of May, 2012. Saint Charbel's memorial. People yearly come from all around the country to celebrate one of the most widely known Saints of Lebanon in his village of birth. This time, the archbishop was coming to celebrate the event in a town situated on a mountain top of over 1600 m altitude. Reverence was not only payed to the Saint, but to the clergy as well returning back to the old testament method of a musical welcome.
