Transportation Services :Prospects and Horizons Development in Iraq
Baghdad University held the sixth conference titled "Transportation Services :Prospects and Horizons Development in Iraq"which was organized by the center of marketing researches and consumer protection.
Scholars and academics called for forming a National Supreme Council or a Committee for Transportation that is connected with the Prime Minister and members of different ministries.This forming aims to find comprehensive solutions for the problems that face transportation. In addition , putting systems and mechanism that promote the services of transportation sector in its different fields.
The conference recommended to find legal legislations depending on smart modern transportation system, developing informational technology and specifying enough financial resources to find the suitable infrastructure for these systems ,and using these legislations in lifting concrete partitions ,minimizing traffic jam and keeping on security .
The researchers advised to restudy the transportation reality in Iraq in the governmental institutions or private sector that lead to reforming technical and administrational systems as well as achieving the great strategic projects, qualifying the buildings , air planes, tankers, railway projects , trucks, lorries and using development work system such as Baghdad metro, and using marine transportation in transporting passengers and goods .
Furthermore , they recommended to perform researches and field studies that have a relation with transportation sector and air pollution , making data base for that with increasing the green areas inside cites for their positive effect upon the environment.
