    High Park Fire Colorado

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GL970 captured this time-lapse of the Colorado fire between 11:30 p.m. and 12:45 a.m. on Saturday night from his backyard in Laporte, Colorado. "Late in the evening, the hills had an eerie red glow, and I wanted to see if I could capture it with my DSLR. The wind at the time was steady but slow to the north, but around midnight started to pick up and move to the south. Since Sunday morning, the town of Laporte has been thick with smoke and some ash." GL970 says he's staying home from work today just in case his area is evacuated.
