This iReport is part of an assignment:
What makes your Father's Day special? |
Learning to be a Phillies fan from Pop
"and now throwing out the first ball tonight, the mayor of Cinnaminson, N.j..."
I never heard the guy's name because my father leaped up and unleashed a thunderous leather lunged "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
People all around us looked and laughed.
I was confused. We lived in Bucks County, and I had no idea where Cinnaminson NJ even was.
My Pop sat down with a big smile and slapped my knee.
"That's what you do at a ball game, son!"
He saw his first opportunity to pass along a Philadelphia tradition - boo like hell - and took full advantage of it.
Got it!
