    LA Kings win the 2012 Stanley Cup

    For the first time since the Los Angeles Kings became an organization they have won the coveted Stanley Cup; defeating the New Jersey Devils 6-1 in game six of the best of seven series.

     

    I headed over to the Staples Center when I became convinced that my presence would not jinx their chances of winning.

     

    There were several thousand fans outside the arena and a large police presence by LAPD, the Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Patrol. While the fans were definitely excited, there was no trouble.
