Earndit and Nike+ helped me lose 45lbs

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     RunningMile says one day he decided to forgo eating out every night, and not working out and decided to "just do it." He started using the Nike+ app and said it was on a best decisions he made because it motivated him to keep moving. When you look at the app and you can see your progress and see that I started off at zero and I ran 700 it was incredible,' he says.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

I started my journey back in June 2011. Started out as 230lbs and I could barley run half a mile. I had a very bad diet due to work-related stress and had the luxury of eating out in restaurants every single day, 7 days a week.

One day I said "Just do it"

Literally in June 3rd,2011 I ran/walked 5.02 miles because of will power! I had the Nike+ Sportband and it helped me run because it had goals that needed to be met and running contests. Nike did a lot to help people run because of the tracking and the integration it uses. Also it was cool to brag about your runs which also inspires your finds to do the same.

    I was motivated.

I found Earndit.com which is a web site that rewards for your workouts. There was nothing to lose and I had to sync my Nike+ so Earndit knows I'm running.

I ranked up so much mileage that I have received a total of $175 worth of stuff! To be exact, I redeemed $150 worth of new clothing because of my weight loss !

In a year I ate right and ran about 700+ miles. Running truly changed my life and you know what's also better? Getting rewarded from it! I felt like I was sponsored!

So thank you Earndit & Nike+ for the support!
