Emily’s Place: Business Plan

Emily’s Place is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to build a Christian retreat campus for the families of special needs children or individuals with special needs. Our focus is to provide a place where hope blooms, a safe, nurturing, and learning environment. A place where all can interact with, learn from, and support one another. We plan to provide these families with a relaxing place, a haven away, complete with certified staff able to meet the needs of their special children. While our kids are waiting to be seen by doctors they can relax in our aquatic center, be taught by trained professionals in our sensory room, play in the learning center, or explore the grounds.

Our Area: Why Emily’s Place?

After searching for programs or facilities in our immediate area, we found them lacking. Parents searching for child care, specialized schooling, camps, group homes, assisted-living, or therapy for their child have no options in this area within 100 -150 miles. The benefits that our organization will provide to our community and the surrounding communities will not only impact lives now, but for many years in the future.

Future Goals:

Emily’s Place is requesting donations in order to purchase land and build facilities that will create a place with activities and support services that cater to those with special needs. We want to address the social, recreational, and educational needs of our children in all of Georgia. Our mission is to help those with special needs or individuals with special needs improve and maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle and to maximize their quality of life

Total Donation Goal: 5 Million

1.5 million: for property which includes 100 acres of land with a lake, a ten bedroom house, gym, sensory room, aquatic center, horse barn, theater, basketball court, trails for walking and more to come.

3.5 million: to do renovations to bring up to code, licenses, medical building, and cost to maintain facility for special needs children. Some things we will need to do is put wheelchair ramps around property, make bathrooms wheelchair assessible and add an elevator to let wheelchairs go up to our upper floor.
