    Oh Hail No!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     plattshaun of Grand Prairie, Texas, documents the aftermath of a severe hailstorm that caused significant damage to his residence on June 13, 2012. He says the area was barraged with baseball-size hail for roughly 10 minutes. "The damage was catastrophic, large baseball size hail came down like raindrops."
    - stein0726, CNN iReport producer

Enormous storm cells dumped “baseball-sized” hail on parts of DFW late afternoon Wednesday. The massive storm left behind a destructive path which left many folks without power after terrorizing local citizens with wind gusts reported by local DFW news stations to be close to 60mph.
All of Dallas’s major airports were affected; Major airlines had to divert over 20 flights and inspect their planes during the storms.
Thousands of drivers suffered through extreme driving conditions and severe hail damage to their vehicles.
Parts of a famous, “one-of-a-kind” glass exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum were destroyed causing irreparable damage to the art displays. The unique pieces were fortunately insured for a price tag reported to be in the multi-million dollar range.
The National Weather Service reported some of the worst hail fell near the Grand Prairie and Duncanville area.
