This iReport is part of an assignment:
New citizens: Why did you become American?

I became an American because it is the greatest place on earth where anyone can make it. I moved to the US in 1994 right after graduating from High School in Cameroon Africa. The US provided me with the responsibility of claiming my identity and rewarding me with the ability to give to those that are less fortunate. I went on to earn a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, then a Master in Healthcare Informatics and an MBA. I don't know if my achievement could be reversed for an American moving to Cameroon and achieving the same. The American landscape and spirit is one that empowers you to do more. I currently live in both the US and Canada, I am a married father of 3 and I think I am who I am today because of that American spirit.
