Iceland independence day today - june 17th
Today is the independence day in Iceland.
Iceland got its independence from Denmark on june 17th ,1944.
And today there are great festivities all around Iceland --
And in a town just south of Reykjavik,named - Hafnarfjordur - there was a Viking festival ---
They show how the life of Vikings was in the old days.
you can see them singing , working metal - and also a Viking walking around - trying to sell his slave.
All dressed up as Vikings did .
