    High Park Fire Day 9

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     thrushj captured the first photograph with the Doberman about 40 miles east of the first fire at a ranch where his brother rides his horse. The other two photographs were taken closer to Fort Collins and 25 miles away from the fire. "The evacuees at the Ranch events center are being well taken care of by the Red Cross and Salvation Army," he says. "There's plenty of food, a computer room, a sleeping area, and they are briefed regularly."
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

These pictures are from just west of Eaton Colorado 25 miles from the fire. Almost 60,000 acres have been burned and at least 181 homes destroyed which makes this fire the most destructive in Colorado history. I visited the Evacuation center Saturday and people are in surprisingly good spirits considering many have lost their homes and everything in them.
