    There is NO question that immigrants contribute much in many ways to any society. The italians for instance arrived in the 20's and 30's by the boatload in NY, they were called WOP's, a derogative term meaning without papers. America's founding fathers like washington and ,jefferson,etc were dead against jews being allowed into America.

    The original immigrants on the mayflower thanked the natives hospitality and guidance by slaughtering them at the first thanksgiving celebration.

    I myself was an immigrant in the 60's. Obama has long promised solutions and action regarding America's immigration dilemmas, but the temporary relaxation of deportations of those who were brought to the US without choice by their parents does NOT really address the issues in the long run !

    It avoids the most important factors about ILLEGAL immigration. There are from what I understand some 30 million illegals in the US, probably most of the California population too. This is more than the population of many countries. If anyone enters a country illegally they are breaking the law, whether because of parental decision or otherwise. Therefore unless ALL illegals are given a blanket amnesty, temporary permits are just stalling what really needs to be addressed and that is will the US government allow illegals to stay or not !

    It's NOT just the US that is burdened with the illegal immigrant problem,as a British expat foreign correspondent I can attest that hordes of illegal immigrants who have invaded the UK making it the most overcrowded place in europe, have caused havoc, mayhem and crime to skyrocket. Many if not most live off welfare benefits at British taxpayers expense, others have caused massive unemployment by taking jobs at lower pay and many with LARGE families have absorbed most of available accomodation.

    There should be NO age discrimination which is what this latest episode is focused on, it clearly discriminates against several generations of immigrants.

The right and fair thing to do is clear...either deport ALL illegals or allow them to stay ! Anything else is forms of mental and emotional anguish and uncertainty, like a prisoners with no release dates...The ideal right thing to do is hold a referendum among the American people...it is after all their country...let them decide !
