Duluth Flash Flood
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
At that time, they had found one of the seals from the zoo on Grand Avenue, the main drag at her end of town, and the petting zoo animals had drowned and the polar bear was loose. The bear has been corralled and the families in low lying parts of town were evacuated. The rain has stopped for a while, and there are quite a few washed out streets.
Just down the hill from where the car hit the sinkhole, along the same creek, a break wall behind the Whole Foods Co-op collapsed. Earlier this year the city had been working on the storm drain there, and but apparently the flood simply blew it out.
