    Duluth Flood 2012

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     This iReporter, whose husband shot the photo told me, 'My husband Ryan is originally from Mississippi and he has compared the damage to Hurricane Katrina. To me that says a lot, it really gives a good comparison of the devastation.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Duluth, MN and surrounding areas received record rainfalls in a 24hr period. On June 20, 2012 chaos struck the city..

Roads are washed out, sinkholes are forming everywhere, homes and cars are underwater.

The Lake Superior Zoo flooded and 14 animals drowned in their exhibits. 2 seal escaped and were free roaming the city until they were later caught, and the zoo's Polar bear was missing for several hours until she was finally located on zoo grounds..

This has been a very devastating event for Dulutians, but it's time to band together!
